Smile Makeovers

Your smile is as unique as your fingerprint. No two are alike.

Where a minor correction is not sufficient to obtain great results, dental veneers can be a consideration. Veneers are basically porcelain shells that are meant to correct imperfections in color, shade, shape or arrangement of the front teeth. There are numerous techniques and materials by which veneers are made. What is appropriate for you depends on your smile.

Dr. Chao will study your smile by various means. Impressions, photographs and X-rays are often needed. From this information Dr. Chao will often do a mock-up with temporary, life-like material directly on your teeth, as if he was doing bonding on your teeth. In a short time you will see in three-dimension on your own teeth what veneers can do for you. You can judge for yourself what veneers can do for you and more importantly, how you want the veneers to look.

Cowards Welcome: All of our services are done with the explicit goal of making your experience as comfortable as possible. You will be amazed at how quickly your anxiety can vanish! We see this happen every day.

Veneers

When it is decided that veneers is what will be best for you, Dr. Chao and his master technician will work side by side at your dental appointment to make sure that the shape, contours, color, shade, translucency, chroma, refractory quality, etc., are exactly right.

Every veneer is hand crafted by our master technician that personally performs every step required to produce the prescribed result, without delegating it to anyone else. (Most commercial laboratories produce veneers and other dental lab work by assembly line, where each veneer is done piecemeal by many workers.) At the second, try-in appointment, the veneers are seated on the teeth without being permanently attached. You must approve every aspect of the veneers before they are finalized. Changes, if needed, are completed and another try-in visit is scheduled.

When every aspect of the veneers is “perfected,” and you are happy with your new smile in every way, then the veneers are permanently bonded to your teeth. Dr. Chao’s patients are so happy with their new smiles that some of them actually become quite emotional. They come back and tell us they enjoy their new smiles every day and get compliments everywhere they go. We would love to do the same for you.
